Prince of Pride
Prince of Pride was an experiment designed to test 3 questions:
1. Could one make an AI to emulate human social behaviors such as group interactions, prejudice, and leadership?
2. Could such an AI be created as a middleware plugin so that any existing game could hook into this functionality without integrating the concepts from the start?
3. Could this AI system be used as the basis for a fun, engaging game experience?
In order to answer these questions, we created the AI Middleware component, enhanced the XNA tools to provide a solid base for our game, programmed game logic and AI, and scripted story events.
The final report is available below for those interested in some design choices that went into the game.
